HAMPTON — The city’s public library and Citizen’s Unity Commission are hosting a a free movie event.
It’s open to the public, but pace is limited.
According to the city’s announcement, residents will watch “The Great Debaters,” a film based on a true story about a 1930’s African-American debate team starring Denzel Washington.
After the movie, attendees can participate in an interactive discussion about diversity. See the trailer below courtesy of Youtube.
Popcorn and soft drinks are also provided for free.
The Movie Talks event is at the Hampton Public Library, 4207 Victoria Blvd. on Monday at 6 p.m.
