There’s a free lighthouse illumination ceremony in Hampton

HAMPTON — The Buckroe Improvement League is hosting a lighthouse illumination ceremony at the Buckroe Beach and Park Saturday.

The event is free and open to the public.

According to the city’s announcement, the event also features carolers from Cary Elementary School and a station to write and mail Christmas letters.

Santa is expected to arrive on a vintage firetruck.

The 3rd Annual Buckroe Beach Lighthouse Illumination is at Buckroe Beach and Park, 100 S 1st St. from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
