Here’s a free support group for families dealing with mental illness

HAMPTON — The National Alliance of Mental Illness Hampton/Newport News chapter is hosting a family support group this week.

The group is for families dealing with a loved one’s mental illness.

According to the event’s Facebook page, individuals who have experienced dealing with a loved one’s mental illness lead the group and families can get support from other people who understand their situation.

The Family Support Group is at the National Alliance of Mental Illness Hampton/Newport News chapter, 100 Medical Drive suite A on Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The support group meet every Wednesday. For more information, call NAMI Hampton/Newport News at 757-690-1370.
