HAMPTON — Lightwire Theater is performing its Christmas show at the American Theatre on Friday.
The event is open to the public and tickets cost $35.
According to the city’s announcement, the performance combines theater and neon-light technology to tell the story of Max, a bird who gets blown off course and ends up at the North Pole and features caroling worms, dancing poinsettias, nutcracker soldiers and more.
In 2012, the theater group were season 7 semifinalists on NBC’s America’s Got Talent.
Lightwire Theater: A Very Electric Christmas event is at The American Theatre, 125 E. Mellen St. on Nov. 30, at 8 p.m.
Doors open at 7 p.m. For more information, visit the American Theatre website or call 757-722-2787.
