NEWPORT NEWS — Riverside Regional Medical Center is hosting a dementia event for caregivers on Saturday.

The workshop is free and open to the public.

This informational event helps caregivers understand what dementia is, how to seek help and how to manage behavioral problems, according to the event page.

Caregivers will also learn how to handle stress and make time for themselves.

The Dealing with Dementia workshop is at Riverside Regional Medical Center’s Round Room, 500 J. Clyde Morris Blvd. from noon to 4 p.m.
