American Legion to host Veterans Day ceremony this weekend

NEWPORT NEWS — The American Legion’s Braxton-Perkins Post 25 chapter will host a Veterans Day ceremony at the Victory Arch on Sunday.

The 11 a.m. event is free and open to the public.

According to the city’s news release, the event marks the 100th anniversary of World War I and features the Menchville High School Air Force JRTOC as Color Guard and music by the Post 25’s Brass Ensemble and Legionnaire Rick Thomasson.
