Does you pet need its rabies shot? Get it for free this Saturday

Staff from the Peninsula Health Department, the Peninsula Medical Reserve Corps and the York County Emergency Response team will administer free rabies vaccinations at Magruder Elementary School in Williamsburg on Saturday.

The rain-or-shine event is for cats and dogs ages 12 weeks or older, and while supplies last. It’ll be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

According to the event flyer, vaccinations are fully effective after 28 days and attendees can also purchase James City County licenses.

The Peninsula Health Department, York County Animal Services and James City County Animal Control co-sponsored this event.
