Learn how social media can help your business at this free workshop

HAMPTON — The city’s economic development department is hosting a social media workshop at Thomas Nelson Community College’s Peninsula Workforce Development Center next month.

According to the city announcement, the event is free and open to the public. Registration is encouraged.

The goal of the workshop is to show participants the many uses of social media from the latest social media trends to new marketing techniques, according to the event page.

Miya Sumpter, employment coordinator for the workforce development center at TNCC, is the guest speaker.

The Social Media For Business: Choosing the Right Platform For Your Business workshop is in Room 1120 at the Peninsula Workforce Development Center, 600 Butler Farm Road. on Nov. 15, 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
