NEWPORT NEWS — The Waterworks department will launch a new account “portal” and mobile app to “better serve its customers”, according to the city’s news release.
Customers will be able to pay their bill, view their past payment history and request services such as meter re-reads and reporting low pressure, according to the city.
In addition, users can receive reminders or alerts and schedule payments.
Starting Nov. 1, customers with existing accounts must re-register, bookmark the new payment site and if they have automated payments, set up the schedule using the new portal or website.
The new Newport News Waterworks portal and app will be available for both iPhone and Android users starting Nov. 1.
