The deadline to register to vote is Monday. Here’s what you need to know

The end of business Monday is the last day to submit voter registration applications or make changes to an already submitted application in order to be eligible to vote on Nov. 6.

Mailed applications must be postmarked on or before Oct. 15. Online applications are due by 11:59 p.m. Monday.

Online voter registration is available for eligible Virginia residents of all locales on the Department of Elections’ website. All Virginia voters must also present a photo identification to vote in-person.

Several types of photo ID are acceptable. Voters can also visit the state’s elections website to find their polling stations and see which candidates are running.

For information on absentee voting, which has different requirements and deadlines than in-person voting, check out HNNDaily’s story.
