Barktoberfest to benefit homeless animals

HAMPTON — The Peninsula SPCA‘s annual fundraiser event, Barktoberfest, will be at the Mill Point Park next Saturday.

The event will have live music by Lost Soul Society, local animal rescue groups like Dogs on Deployment, two costume contests for pets and a dog walk, according to the Facebook event page.

There will also be craft beer from local breweries, local food, artisan and business vendors and radio personalities Ashley from Z104 and Devon from 94.9 The Point, according to the shelter’s website.

The 2018 Barktoberfest Dog Walk & Festival will be at Mill Point Park, 100 Eaton St. on Oct. 20, noon to 5 p.m.

Festival admission is $5 and dog walk participants are encouraged to register in advance (prices may vary).

For information, visit the Barktoberfest website or call the Peninsula SPCA at 757-595-1399.
