If you’re a veteran and need information on benefits, you might want to attend this event

The Newport News Public Library will host a event about veterans benefits at the Virgil I. Grissom Library Friday.

The “meet-up” will provide the opportunity for veterans to learn more about the benefits available and how to apply for them, according to the event’s Facebook page.

A representative from the Virginia Department of Veteran Services, Sharon Duncan, will also be there to help veterans apply for benefits, according to the NNPL.

According to the event description, the meet-ups will be on a “first come, first serve basis.”

The Veterans’ Benefits Meetup will be at the Virgil I. Grissom library, 366 Deshazor Drive on Friday at 10:30 a.m to noon.

For information, visit the Newport News Public Library event calendar or call the Grissom Library 757-369-3190.
