HAMPTON — The 8th annual Kiwanis Shag & Seafood Festival is Sept. 27.
The all-you-can-eat seafood extravaganza, sponsored by Nixon Seafood from Edenton, North Carolina, will be at the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank.
It will benefit the foodbank.
The evening promises seafood, BBQ, adult beverages, live music, raffles and more.
The event is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Division 13 of the Southeast Region of the Capital District of Kiwanis International.
In addition to the foodbank, proceeds from the Shag and Seafood Festival will benefit more than 55 children’s programs of the Kiwanis Clubs of City Center, Denbigh, Downtown Hampton, Greater Hilton, Mercury 64, Old Point Comfort, Peninsula at Oyster Point, Smithfield, plus the Kiwanis Southeast Region Fishing Clinic held in July, according to their website.
