Newport News will host free business workshops starting Monday

NEWPORT NEWS — The city’s Economic Development Authority and the Department of Development will host a series of free workshops to help small businesses thrive in the city starting Monday, 6 p.m. – 8 p.m at the Piggly Wiggly grocery store, 3101 Jefferson Ave.

Monday’s workshop, “Essential Tips for Today’s Entrepreneurs”, will be hosted by Tiffany Boyle, the city commissioner of the revenue, according the city’s announcement.

Each workshop will be at different locations throughout Newport News from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. They are free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
