Come out to a Back to School Movie night in Hampton

HAMPTON — The city’s schools will be hosting a back to school movie night on Aug. 30 at Carousel Park.

In order to get students ready for the upcoming school year on Sept. 4, the city will be showing a free movie, have food vendors available and Hampton Healthy Families will have a tent for after school programs registration.

If you’re child is new to the school bus, there will be a bus on site for students to practice getting on and off, minimizing first day jitters for both parents and kids alike.

The movie that will be shown is Wonder and will start at sunset.

Vendors will be from Stillwater Tavern with hot dogs, BBQ and hamburgers and from Uncle Dave’s Kettle Korn.

Everyone who attends the event will get a raffle ticket for a chance to win a back to school backpack filled with supplies.

The Citizens’ Unity Commission will also be present with a booth for people to learn more about their Youth Advisory Group and Hampton Diversity College.
