NEWPORT NEWS — Police here said the death of a husband and wife Wednesday afternoon appears to be “domestic-related.”
Authorities identified the couple as 45-year-old Natacha Rodriguez-Cruz and her husband, Marcos Vasquez, 41.
Very few details have been released about the incident. Police would only say the couple died of gunshot wounds, and “the public is not in danger.”
Police were sent to the 500 block of Ashton Green Boulevard at around 3:54 p.m. Wednesday.
There, they found the couple “with gunshot wounds.”
At 4:28 p.m., both Rodriguez-Cruz and Vasquez were pronounced dead at the scene, according to a police news release.
Police said the investigation remains open.
