The Newport News Public Library will be hosting several fitness, health and educational programs for adults.
The programs come as part of the library’s vision of offering the community opportunities for lifelong learning and recreational activities.
The first program available is Monday at 5:30 p.m.
It’s a free mini nail care and makeup session, available at the South Morrison Library as part of the Naturally Glam event.
Participants will receive expert tips on hair, nail, makeup and skin care, according to the city.
Other programs the city is planning have are retirement planning and yoga classes.
Those who are planning or thinking about retirement are welcome to attend Retirement Transition at Grissom Library on Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
Attendees will leave with information about Social Security, Medicare, long-term care and more.
Beginning yoga classes will be offered at Pearl Bailey Library every Thursday in August at 7 p.m.
No experience is needed for this free fitness program.
Participants will need to bring a yoga mat, towel and/or water bottle for the class.
