HAMPTON — The Office of Youth and Young Adult Opportunities wants your input on creating a comprehensive safety plan for neighborhoods here.

On Thursday from 6-7:30 p.m. the first “community conversation” will take place at the Y.H. Thomas Community Center, 1300 Thomas St.

The second conversation will be from 11:30-1 p.m. Saturday at the North Phoebus Community Center, 249 Chamberlin Ave.

According to a news release from the city, working with Cities United – a national organization focused on eliminating violence in American cities related to African-American men and boys – Youth and Young Adult Opportunities hopes to develop a 10-year action plan for creating safe, healthy and hopeful communities across Hampton.

Food will be provided during both sessions.
