HAMPTON — Extension Master Gardener Stephen Bowles is leading a workshop on the basics of vegetable gardening.
The free workshop will teach the basics of vegetable gardening in Hampton Roads, from planting to harvest.
Topics include: pest management, fertilizing, succession planting, harvesting and fall vegetable planting.
Anyone can take these classes, the only thing you have to do is register.
There is no registration deadline, participants can register the day of if they wish during the business hours of 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Workshops are held one Monday a month through Oct. 8., 5:30-6:30 p.m., at North Phoebus Community Center (249 Chamberlain Ave., Hampton, 23663).
