HAMPTON — Now that school is out the Hampton Library’s annual summer reading program, “Reading Takes You Everywhere,” has begun.
All are welcome to participate in the summer reading challenge through July 27.
If you’re an adult you can read (or listen to) any book you’d like and at the end of the week you can turn it in with a review of the book.
According to the library, each book review enters the reader into a prize drawing — the library was not able to disclose what the prizes are.
Readers up to age 17 may participate in the children’s summer reading challenge.
Participants are given a prize (a coupon to a Hampton business) each week they turn in their reading logs.
The prizes vary by age group.
If you’re participating in the children’s program and read 15 books there’s another prize: an inflatable fish and Golden Corral coupon. Read 30 and get a growing sea creature, according to the library.
