NEWPORT NEWS — From now until December, traffic might be a little more congested on Prince Drew Road.
The road, which sits across from Christopher Newport University, will undergo pavement widening and upgrades to the storm sewer system, from now until late December, according to a news release from the city.
The road construction work begins at the intersection of Moore’s Lane and Prince Drew Road and will progress east toward Warwick Boulevard. Through traffic is being detoured to Hiden Boulevard throughout the duration of the construction project.
Residents on Prince Drew Road will have access to their homes during construction and the adjacent CNU parking lot will also be accessible, according to the news release.
