Area foodies can rejoice with Busch Gardens’ festival that brings global tastes to local palettes.
Park guests will have the opportunity to sample a variety of food not typically offered at the park at the Food and Wine Festival, according to a news release from the park. The food will cultivate tastes from around the world at 16 themed kiosks throughout the park.
The festival will feature a variety of foods from international cultures including:
- Cuba – roasted pork Cuban sandwich, fried plantains, flan and a Cuba Libre cocktail.
- Japan – lettuce wraps, chicken dumplings, sushi and green tea ice cream.
- Brazil – grilled beef, pineapple, Brazilian sausage and a rum cocktail.
- South Korea – grilled marinated beef, spicy barbecue ribs and kimchi.
Beer enthusiasts can also sample beer flights and pork schnitzel sliders in the Brauhaus.
For entertainment, celebrity chef Aarti Sequeria will make a one-time appearance at the park June 3. Sequeria is the host of the shows “Aarti Party” and “ Hidden Eats” on Food Network.
There will also be cooking demonstrations and a lineup of musical guests including Scotty McCreery on June 9 and Hunter Hayes on June 16.
Individual sampling portions and beverage tastings will also be available for purchase inside the park. The festival is scheduled to run through July 1.
