NEWPORT NEWS — National Train Day is making its way here.
Friends of the Lee Hall Train Station Foundation will host their fifth annual National Train Day from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. on May 12 at the Denbigh Community Center, 15198 Warwick Blvd.
The event will include operating model layouts of all scales, vendors, costumed rail characters, door prizes every 30 minutes and raffles, according to a news release from the city.
National Train Day will also include a rideable train in the parking lot, pedal cars and train-theme selfie stations.
The event is free and open to the public.
