NEWPORT NEWS — Newport News Public Library will begin offering some of its resources digitally.
The library will offer online memberships, which will allow patrons to access the library’s online resources, including e-books, e-audiobooks, and databases. The online membership will also allow people to reserve books digitally, according to a news release from the City of Newport News.
“Like all libraries, Newport News Public Library (NNPL) continues to evolve to meet the needs of a 21st century community. NNPL offers something for everyone, and we are proud to offer library services and solutions that are not ‘one size fits all.'” said Sonia Alcántara-Antoine, director of Libraries and Information Services for the City of Newport News, in the release. “The beauty of our new e-card is that it will give the nontraditional library patron immediate access to our digital resources, anytime and anywhere. We are excited to meet our patrons where they are,”
