Teen killed in Wednesday night shooting

HAMPTON — Police are investigating a Wednesday night shooting here that left a 17-year-old boy dead.

At 7:09 p.m., officers responded to the first block of Fulton Street shortly after dispatchers fielded a call about a shooting.

There, they found the teen “suffering from gunshot wounds.” He died shortly after being taken to a local hospital.

Information on his identity or motive for the killing was not immediately released.

“There is no suspect information to disseminate,” police said.
