Police seek suspect in Sunday shooting

HAMPTON — Police are asking the public’s help in finding a suspect in connection with a shooting Sunday.

Dispatchers received a call at 4:08 a.m. about a shooting at the Days Inn motel in the 1900 block of Coliseum Drive.

There, officers found a 31-year-old Hampton man “suffering from a single gunshot wound.”

He was treated a local hospital and released shortly thereafter, police said.

No other information about the incident was immediately released.

Authorities are asking anyone with information about the incident to call Hampton Police at 757–727–6111 or the Crime Line at 888-LOCK-U-UP.
