HAMPTON — A number of companies along the Peninsula will participate in a job fair.
Some 29 companies will hire employees at the American Job Center hiring event from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on April 26 at the Peninsula Workforce Development Center.
Companies hiring include the Newport News Sheriff’s Office, Pierce’s BBQ, Kingsmill Resort, Hampton Roads Transit, Chick Fil A and Harris Teeter.
The job fair is open to the public but will also assist the Farm Fresh employees that were laid off recently. This is the second event this month to serve the Farm Fresh employees laid off, according to a news release from the Peninsula Workforce Development Center.
Employees will be conducting on the spot interviews and hiring managers ask interested applicants to bring their resume, according to the news release.
