HAMPTON- Sen. Tim Kaine will make his way around NASA Langley Research Center.
Kaine will visit the research center on Monday beginning at 10 a.m., according to a news release from his office.
At the NASA Langley Research Center, Kaine will receive a briefing from the center’s Director Dave Bowles, visit the Katherine G. Johnson Computational Research Facility, the Engineering Design Studio and tour construction for the Measurement Systems Laboratory, according to the release.
In the Senate, Kaine helped secure federal funding to construct the new laboratory, which will house new equipment to help the research center continue its space exploration, science, and aeronautics missions, according to the news release.
Kaine will also deliver remarks at the Thomas Nelson Community College Career and Technical Education Symposium on the same day.
