WILLIAMSBURG — William & Mary football hosted its final home game of the season on Nov. 18 as it battled rival University of Richmond.
The Capital Cup, one of the oldest rivalries in college sports, saw William and Mary win in 2022. The all-time series was tied at 64 wins apiece before kickoff.
As the Tribe honored its 28 senior players on Senior Day, Tribe fans were out in full support. The Tribe struck first, scoring on the first possession to go up 7-0. Though the team battled hard, ultimately it came up one point short of another Capital Cup victory.
