WILLIAMSBURG– Early this morning, Mar. 16, deputies responded to a commercial glass break alarm at the Kwik-Out in the 1600 block of Merrimac Trail around 4:20 a.m.
According to a release from the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office, the gas station convenience store was found with the business’ front glass broken and it appeared that the suspects had stolen tobacco products.
The first responding deputy saw a vehicle with expired license plates occupied by four individuals leaving the area. The vehicle was stopped and found to contain large trash bags containing various tobacco products that had been stolen from the business.
All four occupants were transported to the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office. Charges are pending.
