Pedestrian Killed Following Vehicle Crash in Williamsburg

WILLIAMSBURG — A pedestrian died following a vehicle crash in Williamsburg.

At approximately 5:40 p.m. on Tues., Dec. 7, both James City County Police (JCCPD) and James City County Fire (JCCFD) departments were dispatched to the 6400 block of Centerville Road.

Stephanie Williams Ortery, spokesperson for JCCPD, told WYDaily that there was a vehicle crash involving a pedestrian. the pedestrian was transported to Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center where he later died from his injuries.

The identity of the victim has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.

Centerville Road was blocked in both directions for three hours while the investigation took place.
