WILLIAMSBURG — For those who look back fondly on middle school field days but also enjoy drinking beer, Precarious Beer Project has the perfect event for you.

On Saturday, Oct. 23, the local brewery and beer hall will host the 3rd Annual Field Dayz on the Art Museum of Colonial Williamsburg’s front lawn, 301 S Nassau Street.

Precarious will be serving beer throughout the event, as will more than 20 other breweries from all over the region.

For those looking to eat while they play, local restaurants like Electric Circus Taco Bar, Amber Ox Public House and the Bake Shop will be on hand serving up food for purchase.

The event will feature various games and competitions including tetherball, cornhole and a few others they are keeping secret until the day of the event.

There will be two bands playing throughout the event. The Fredericksburg based rock band Virginia Man will kick things off from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30. From 3 to 5 p.m. Teaze will bring the evening to a close with their hair metal stylings.

There are three categories of tickets available. The VIP tickets, which are sold out, general admission tickets and Designated Driver (DD) / child tickets.

General Admission is $40 and includes a commemorative beer glass and four food and drink tokens. A DD/child ticket is $15 and includes a ticket that can be used for food or a soft drink. Click here to purchase a ticket.

A portion of the ticket sales as well as proceeds from a raffle will go to support the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters (CHKD). Festival participants are also encouraged to donate infant toys for a holiday toy drive.
