JCC Police Investigate Thefts from Unlocked Vehicles

JAMES CITY COUNTY — James City County Police Department (JCCPD) is investigating incidents of theft from unlocked vehicles.

During the overnight hours of Oct. 11-12, an unknown subject or subjects entered multiple unlocked vehicles in the The Pointe of Jamestown neighborhood.

Several items were stolen, including sports equipment, electronics and a wallet containing cash, credit cards, an ID, as well as a social security card.

JCCPD said that two suspicious males were surveilled wearing all black with hoods and masks, and were seen walking in the neighborhood at approximately 5 a.m. on Oct. 12.

Credit cards that were stolen during these incidents were used in Hampton between 6 and 6:30 a.m. on Oct. 12.

Surveillance photos were obtained of the individuals using the stolen credit cards.

JCCPD is asking anyone who is able to identify the two individuals, saw suspicious activity in the neighborhood during this time, know who may have been involved or have home security video camera systems that may have captured suspicious person(s) or vehicle(s) during this time to contact Investigator Swanson at (757) 259-5165 or kathy.swanson@jamescitycountyva.gov
