JAMESTOWN — This weekend learn about what scared 17th-century Virginians the most.
On Saturday, Oct. 16, Historic Jamestowne will bring back “Tales of All Hallows Eve: A Haunted Evening at Historic Jamestowne” at 6:45 and 8 p.m.
Guests will hear eyewitness accounts of conjurations and witchcraft from 17th-century
Virginia through character interpretations.
The stories, which will be told by firelight, “will be introduced with historical context that will offer how the perceived ‘supernatural’ events evolved to blur logic and create fear for those who experienced them first hand,” according to a news release from Historic Jamestowne.
Since 2017, guests have been able to experience the fear of the unknown through these legacy supernatural stories.
