WILLIAMSBURG — The College of William & Mary (W&M) is pulling out all of the stops as it celebrates Homecoming from Thursday, Oct. 7 through Sunday Oct. 10, 2021.
A majority of the weekend’ festivities are for Tribe alumni and their families. Here are some of the events that will be open to the general public:
Thursday, Oct. 7
- Institute for Integrative Conservation Open House
- 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
- Institute for Integrative Conservation, 221 N Boundary Street.
- Free
- (IIC) for an engaging open house to learn about our work to cultivate an inclusive community of leaders to solve global conservation challenges. Hear firsthand from how the IIC is leveraging W&M’s innovative culture, expertise and entrepreneurial mindset to advance conservation solutions and to build the next generation of conservation leaders.
- W&M Welcomes Former NFL Legend, Writer, Civil Rights Activist Reggie Williams
- 5:30 p.m.
- Sadler Center, 200 Stadium Drive in the Commonwealth Auditorium

- Former National Football League player Reggie Williams will read from his memoir “Resilient By Nature”. *Look for WYDaily’s interview with Reggie Williams later today!
Friday, Oct. 8
- Alumni House Dedication
- 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Alumni House, 500 Richmond Road
- Free
- W&M will celebrate the renovation of the historic building.
- Sunset Ceremony
- 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Wren Courtyard, 111 Jamestown Road
- Free
- W&M honors alumni, faculty and friends of the university who passed in the last year. The ceremony will be available to watch online beginning Oct. 11.
- W&M Music Department Presents the Botetourt Chamber Singers, Dr. Jamie C. Bartlett, Conductor
- 8 p.m.
- Wren Chapel, 111 Jamestown Road
- Free
- Homecoming Concert featuring music by Brandon Waddles, Saunder Choi, Hyowon Woo, Richard Burchard and Adolphus Hailstork. Masks are required for entry.
Saturday, Oct. 9
- Homecoming Alumni Author Breakfast
- 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
- Swem Library, 1st Floor, 400 Landrum Drive
- Free
- Author and W&M alumna Padma Venkatraman will give a lecture on her work and she will be available to sign copies of her books. Breakfast will be provided.
- Football Game: W&M vs. University of Albany
- 3:30 p.m.
- Zable Stadium at Cary Field, 100 Stadium Drive
- Tickets can be purchased on the Tribe Athletics website.
- Come cheer on the Tribe as they take on the University of Albany.
