JAMES CITY COUNTY — A former massage therapist who worked at the MassageLuXe location on Monticello Ave. in Williamsburg was sentenced Wednesday for sexual assault.
Shawn Lamonte Robinson, 48, was arrested back on Dec. 18, 2020 after a woman reported to the James City County Police Department (JCCPD) two days earlier that she was assaulted on Dec. 15.
JCCPD revealed in March that Robinson had his massage therapist license revoked several months prior.
Five additional victims made the massage therapy location aware of alleged assaults involving Robinson that occurred on premises.
In July, Robinson was found guilty of three counts of object penetration, one count of assault and battery, six counts of aggravated sexual battery and three counts of practicing without a license.
Williamsburg and James City County prosecutor Cathy Black said that Robinson was sentenced Wednesday to a total of 136 years, with 99 suspended.
