JAMES CITY COUNTY — Virginia State Police (VSP) are on scene investigating a crash on Interstate 64 (I-64) in James City County, which caused closures in the westbound lanes.
At approximately 2:54 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 4 at mile marker 225, a dump truck and a tracker trailer collided, with the latter vehicle reported as being “jackknifed.”
Initially, all westbound lanes were closed as a result. Sgt. Michelle Anaya, public information officer for VSP, reported that a single lane was reopened to traffic at around 5:45 a.m.
It is unclear if there were any injuries sustained.
