City of Williamsburg Cancels Events Due to COVID-19 Concerns

City of Williamsburg has announced that it has canceled its National Night Out and Canine Carnival due to concerns regarding COVID-19 (Courtesy of City of Williamsburg)

WILLIAMSBURG — The City of Williamsburg has announced the cancellation of two of its upcoming events due to concerns regarding the continued COVID-19 pandemic.

The city’s National Night Out and its Canine Carnival, scheduled for Oct. 5 and 17 respectively, have been canceled due to the current high transmission of COVID-19 in the Greater Williamsburg area. At this time, there are no plans to reschedule for 2021.

As of the publication of this article, the National Night Out hosted by the James City County Police Department is still scheduled to take place on on Oct. 5  at the Law Enforcement Center, 4600 Opportunity Way.
