Join JCC Parks and Rec to Paddle the Canal in a North Carolina State Park

JAMES CITY COUNTY — Join James City County (JCC) Parks and Recreation to paddle down the canal in North Carolina’s Dismal Swamp State Park.

As part of the State Park Passport Series, the trip will take paddlers down one of the canals that connect into the Intracoastal waterway.

JCC Parks and Recreation will provide kayaks and canoes, and everyone is encouraged to bring lunch, snacks and water.

The trip will take place on Friday, Oct. 1 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The group will meet in the lobby of the JCC Recreation Center, 5301 Longhill Rd., The $35 fee includes a two-hour block of time for a self-guided paddle of the waterway and visiting the park amenities, based on the park’s operating schedule.
