James City County Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash at Route 199W Ramp

JAMES CITY COUNTY — A James City County man died following a motorcycle crash at the Route 199 westbound (199W) ramp.

On Saturday, Sept. 18 at 3:44 p.m., the James City County Police Department (JCCPD) responded to a vehicle crash Richmond Road at the Route 199W ramp.

JCCPD said that the driver of the motorcycle, 22-year-old JCC resident Logan Anderson, was traveling west bound when he reached the crest of a hill where traffic was backed up from a red light.

After this, Anderson lost control of the motorcycle trying to avoid stopped traffic and crashed into the rear of another vehicle.

Anderson was transported to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
