JAMES CITY COUNTY — The James City County Police Department (JCCPD) invites residents to join in celebrating National Night Out.
The event will be held on Oct. 5 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Law Enforcement Center, 4600 Opportunity Way, and will feature displays from some of JCCPD’s specialty teams and units.
There will be a DJ, food trucks, snow cones, games, an obstacle course bounce house and more.
JCCPD will be making Child IDs for those who may want one, and JCCPD’s Monster Truck and Virginia State Police’s HEAT vehicle will also be on display.
There will also be a guest appearance from McGruff, the crime-fighting dog.
National Night Out is an annual event that promotes law enforcement-community partnerships, heightens crime and drug prevention awareness, and promote local anti-crime programs.
