JAMES CITY COUNTY — Just in time for cooler weather to arrive, James City County residents have a chance to discover new trails in their community.

Starting Sept. 18, Walk This Way: Williamsburg Walking Club will meet monthly through December.

Coaches will guide participants through the trails of James City County. Locals can bring friends, family members or meet a new neighbor while getting health exercise.

The free, four-part series kicks off on Saturday, Sept. 18 at Freedom Park, 5537 Centerville Rd., from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

The meet-up will take place at the Freedom Park Interpretive Center, weather-permitting.

The club will then meet Oct. 16 at the Greensprings Interpretive Trail, Nov. 13 at the Powhatan Creek Trail and Dec. 11 at the Warhill Sports Complex Trailhead.

Pre-registration is encouraged, but not required and can be done by calling (757) 259-4200 or visiting the James City County website.
