JAMES CITY COUNTY — James City County (JCC) announced that their online Permitlink service will be temporarily down this Monday, Sept. 13 at 4 p.m.

The automated JCC Permitlink will be taken down for a system upgrade and won’t be back up until Tuesday, Sept. 14 at 9 p.m.

The Building Safety and Permits Division recommends requesting inspections in advance on Friday, Sept. 10

The JCC Permitlink is an automated system for uploading plans and scheduling inspections.  The online service gives users the ability to pay fees related to permits and enables them to get real-time inspection results in addition to responding to comments from County staff.

JCC recommends to any Permitlink user, who needs to schedule or cancel an inspection while the site is down, to contact the Building Safety and Permits Division at: buildingsafetyandpermits@jamescitycountyva.gov or (757) 253-6626.

The Division also requests that residential building inspections and commercial certificate of occupancy inspections not be requested for Tuesday, Sept. 14.

For more information about JCC’s Permitlink service, you can visit the official James city county permit link web page.
