WILLIAMSBURG — The 7th annual Great Williamsburg Adventure Race is returning with unique challenges, puzzles and riddles from Thursday, Sept. 23 through Sunday, Sept. 26.
Hosted by AVAdventure Productions, the multi-day adventure race will take place throughout the City of Williamsburg and will feature over a dozen local businesses and organizations.
The race will see teams of two players compete in a series of challenges and puzzles inspired by the culture, history and businesses of Williamsburg.
Players will be challenged to solve riddles, decode clues, and take on a variety of interactive challenges with a chance to win prize gifts donated by local businesses.
The event will feature several changes to ensure the race is COVID-19 safe for participants.
The race will not be timed, the course is expanded and the teams are smaller.
“The race is spread over four days for everyone’s safety,” event producer Adam Stackhouse said. “It also enables players to go at their own pace, leveling the playing field.”
Registration is open now online. Tickets are required, and registration is free for teams consisting of two players who are currently William & Mary students.
