YORKTOWN — The ninth annual Yorktown Folk Festival will feature a celebration of music for all ages on the shores of the York River.
The free event will be held Saturday, Sept. 25 through Sunday, Sept. 26 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Watermen’s Museum, located at 309 Water Street.
The festival will feature Folk, Blues, Maritime, Rock and Roll and Celtic music with performances on four stages from local bands, musicians, storytellers and dancers.
Saturday’s lineup will feature Bob Zentz, LCV Project, Nathan Lienard, Evermoore, Clan McCool, Winsome, Nadia Koz, ShantyGrass, Jerry Sowers, Field Music VA, Barnacle Betty, Mermaids Tale, Jolly Roving Tar and Rose and Sword Dance Academy, with performances from Rider from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. and Tin Can Fish Band from 7-9 p.m.
The County Market will take place from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Riverwalk Landing.
On Sunday, the lineup will include Audio Portrait, LCV Project, Lords of Misrule, Joe Kaplenk, John Smith, Baxter Harding, Scotch and Rye, Phil Casey, Amy Ferebee, Barnacle Betty and Jolly Roving Tar. Kountry Kickers will perform from 5:30 – 6 p.m., The Burtons from 6-7 p.m. and Ralph Motley and Friends from 7 – 9 p.m.
The festival will also feature food trucks, vendors, craft demonstrations and artists.
