YORK COUNTY — York County has scheduled two public meetings where citizens can give county officials input on the land use and development.
Each meeting will begin with a presentation about the comprehensive plan, also called the Titled Charting the Course to 2035, that the county adopted in 2013, which addresses the long term plan for development in York County. Following that presentation, the Comprehensive Plan Review Steering Committee will hold an open house in which citizens will be able to speak with members of the committee one-on-one to share ideas and ask questions about the updated plan. County staff will also be on hand to record citizen comments.
For any residents who are unable to attend the meetings, they can still voice their opinions by calling at 757-890-DATA (3282) or by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
To read up on the plans, go to the Comprehensive Plan Review website. The site contains a committee roster, meeting minutes and presentations. It also has an ongoing blog about the committee’s activities.
