YORK COUNTY — A structural fire broke out in a home on Brokenbridge Rd.
On Monday, July 26, just after 3:30 p.m., the York County Department of Fire and Life Safety responded to smoke inside of a structure.
Upon arrival, crews found white smoke coming from the attic of the house.
York County Fire Chief Stephen P. Kopczynski said that they discovered “what was a small fire involving insulation and some of the rafter material in the attic area.”
Kopczynski said that a contractor was recently doing heating and air conditioning work in the attic, which appeared to be the cause of the fire.
Damage was isolated to the area of the fire’s origin.
The fire was under control shortly after crews arrived on the scene, and has been put out.
The occupants and their pets were out of the house when crews arrived and there were no injuries.
