DEVELOPING: James City County Police Investigating Fatal Pedestrian-Involved Car Accident

JAMES CITY COUNTY — James City County Police Department (JCCPD) is investigating a vehicle accident that led to a pedestrian being struck and killed.

On Monday, July 26 at approximately 7 p.m., JCCPD and the James City County Fire Department responded to a vehicle/pedestrian crash on Centerville Road in the area of Fox Hill Road.

The pedestrian that was struck was transported to Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center where she was pronounced deceased.

JCCPD have not yet released the identity of the victim as next of kin is still being notified.

The crash remains under investigation at this time.

Centerville Road remains closed between Longhill Station and Fox Hill Road.
