JAMES CITY COUNTY — The annual summer concert series, Jamestown Jams is scheduled to start up at Jamestown Beach Event Park on July 30 with local favorite swing band, Good Shot Judy.
All three shows during the series are free admission. The venue’s entrance opens at 5:30 p.m. and the bands play from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Parking is available behind the old Jamestown Campground building with additional parking in the Jamestown Settlement auxiliary lot located at the Park and at Jamestown Settlement’s bus lot, if necessary.
Food Trucks such as The Skrimp Truck, Virginia Diner and Sno-to-Go will be selling meals and snacks throughout the events, but concert goers are welcome to bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverages. Williamsburg Winery will be selling an assortment of fine wines. The Arc of Greater Williamsburg will be selling assorted beer, with all proceeds benefiting the organizations local activities and programs.
The concert schedule is as follows:
- July 30 Good Shot Judy: This swing jazz band specializes in delivering top-notch vocal jazz and recreating the classic nightclub entertainment feel of Las Vegas in its prime.
- August 27 The Deloreans: This 80s tribute band is comprised of six distinct vocalists who cover the most memorable artists and nostalgic songs of the 80s.
- September 24 J Baxter & The Sauce: Party-rock, show performance and soul music showcasing a range of influences including James Brown, Michael Jackson, Parliament Funk and more.
