YORK COUNTY — Take home a book and a four-legged friend from Tabb Library.

Tabb Library, 100 Long Green Blvd, will host a Books & Barks Dog Adoption event on Saturday, July 24 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Some furry adoptable friends from the Peninsula Regional Animal Shelter will be out on the Tabb Library Lawn for folks to come interact with and to hopefully give a fur-ever home.

The event will also feature a prize raffle as well as an opportunity to donate pet supplies and items to the animal shelter.

Sno-to-Go’s ice cream truck will be out there to purchase sweet treats from.

Families can also now register for a stuffed animal Adopt-a-Thon event, which is split into three sessions: 10 a.m., 10:30 a.m., and 11 a.m.
